Simulating closure of a valve
Is there any way to phisically simulate closure of a valve, for ex by changing cell types from fluid to solid during run time..... or by any other way?

Check Tutorial 13 for the beginning

dear A_Lyaskin, thanks for the reply. I intend to simulate water hammer in a large dia (3200mm) duct due to closure of a butterfly type of valve which is installed downstream of a pump.
will go through the tut. i hope the approach in tut 13 can be applied for my case.

You can also check tutorial 11 -probably it'll be even closer to your problem. It would be better to start with 11th then, because it begins the explanation of cell addition/deletion concept.
