I have the same problem!
I tried using Icem 11.0 and Icem 12.0
I enter in output>selectsolver-outputsolver - star-cd 3.24 or star or star-4; commonstructuralsolver- ansys]
Then I click write output. In star-cd 4.08 I choose Import grid - ICEM-find file star.inp - apply.
But nothing happens!!
Please give me an advice.

With Star-CD being running, open GUIDE-dialog and go right to Import Mesh tab. Choose Srar-CD as a mesh format to import and provide your .cel, .vtr files you've had from ICEM.

Hello Johannes,

I have a similar problem but it is the other way around for me. That is i have a star-ccm+ or star-cd mesh in the following formats:

.ccm -CD ADAPCO CCM file
.case-Ensight Gold file
.fvuns-Fieldview file
.plt-Tecplot 360 file

Additionally, the pro-STAR based .cel/.vrt format is provided for the report of boundary shells from the current volume mesh region.

Have you tried importing a mesh you created in star-ccm+ into fluent before? Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks!
Jimmy

I'm pretty sure ICEM can do that.
