Ansys Structrural

Hello to all,

I am modeling a fluid-structure interaction in a tube. I need stress-free boundary condition at the outer wall of the pipe. What type of boundary condition should I use in Ansys Structural?

Best wishes

Hi Daniel,
In FEM in general (and Ansys is no exception), a stress-free BC (boundary condition) is called a homogenous natural BC, and it is the default. This means that any boundary you do not prescribe anything on is stress-free.

hi friends,
I have a doubt in 2d, for solving any 2d problem may be structural or cfd or any thing wheather we have to define thickness or thickness will be zero.your reply will help me a lot.
