I designed a geometry by assembling different parts which after saving as part formed surfaces. I try to save it in .stp, and .igs format for upload into Ansys design modeler, however, the size is so much about 100MB, then upon upload and generating the geometry I discovered that there were about 3,500 different bodies which loaded after taking about an hour. The system is very slow and I cannot generate mesh on the geometry. My question is there a simple method to save the whole geometry as a part or single body to ease the meshing and upload size?

Hey Susan,
In design modeller you can specify to "stitch" surfaces when you import your .igs along with other options like "clean geometry". |
