The attached excel file, shows the results for a column subjected to different displacements imposed at its top and supported at its base, I used the classical characteristics for concrete and steel.
I superimposed the different Displacement - Response responses I obtained, I was expecting that the variation in reaction or force would follow the same trajectory depending on the intensity of the imposed displacement, but it turns out that this is not the case; I can't find an explanation. In my understanding, the answer to this problem is a curve equivalent to the one experimentally obtained, whose length depends on the applied load or imposed displacement. |
