Hello,
I Want To make a FSI Simulation of a Wind turbine Blade i already did the mesh for the CFD Part of the simulation using Structured Mesh to validate my Mesh and now i want to conbine the CFD with structural analysis but i am not sure if i Can use Structured mesh for the BLADE and FSI .? is it possible to make FSI Simulation using Structured Mesh for both the Blade Geometry and the Fluid Domain Or it's not Possible ? is it possible to use Structured mesh for Fluid Domain and unStructured Mesh For the Solid Domain Or not ? Many Thanks |

Hi Losiola,
It's absolutely possible. Best way is to use a conformal mesh so you don't have interpolation / mapping "errors" at the load transfer interface. Depending on the complexity of the blade geometry you will have to invest some time to generate a proper mesh. Have fun |
