Ansys Mechanical – Help with static structural setup error

1 Attachment(s)
Hello everyone,

I am trying to perform a finite element method (FEM) simulation of von Mises stress for a rotor of a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) in Ansys Mechanical. I have completed the static structural setup, but I am encountering the following error:

"Not enough constraints appear to be applied to prevent rigid body motion. This may lead to solution warnings or errors. Check results carefully." I also deleted the automatic connection, inserted the connection group as a joint, and then created a new automatic connection. However, the error did not go away.

I have attached some pictures of my setup details for your reference. Any help would be greatly appreciated. https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...do0OqyEBa-KaLx

You did not constrain or define all 6 Degrees of freedom. Looks like your model is not constrained in the Z (axial) direction, which would allow to rigid body motion.
