SU2 Version 2.0.5 Released (Developer Release)
Dear all,
We have posted the latest developer release of the code, version 2.0.5, on our website, su2.stanford.edu. Apart from general bug fixes and improvements, this version has a couple of notable upgrades: - SU2_DDC has received parallel improvements, making the mesh partitioning process much more efficient - The solution output routines used by SU2_SOL have been upgraded in terms of memory use and algorithmic efficiency (now including surface solution files). These changes should be particularly apparent when performing larger calculations, and further improvements are yet to come. Stay tuned! All the best, Tom |
Flow solution files not getting generated in SU2 v 2.0.5
Hi Thomas
I am using SU2 2.0.5 for my simulations. I am running parallel simulation by partitioning the mesh using SU2_DDC and then running the case using mpirun -np (running without python script). But the flow solution files are not getting generated. However when I run parallel computation using python script, flow files are getting generated. Can you tell me why is this happening ? Thanks Anant |
In the new SU2 parallel implementation the only solution output is a native format.
After the execution of SU2_CFD, you should run SU2_SOL (in parallel or serial) to translate the native solution format to tecplot (binary or ASCII), CGNS, or Paraview. Cheers, Francisco Quote:
