Discrete Adjoint Optimization ?
I have read the release note of the SU2 v2.0 , in http://adl.stanford.edu/docs/display.../Release+Notes
it says that the SU2 v2.0 has the capability to solve the Discrete Adjoint Euler equations. I have tried to added the configuration file an option like this: ADJOINT_TYPE = DISCRETE to the NACA0012 mesh in TestCases/euler/NACA0012 and use the python script shape_optimization.py by typing python shape_optimization.py -f inv_NACA0012.cfg -p 4 however the solver seems to go wrong ... What should I do if I want to use SU2 to run an optimization by dicrete adjoint? |
Hi Tommy,
While the discrete adjoint for the Euler equations is available in version 2.0, it is still being tested and has not yet been enabled within the shape optimization framework. Look for this in a future release! Cheers, T |
