I am new to SU2. I have been looking over the tutorial examples and user's guide. In the configure file template, I see the list of pre-defined objective functions such as DRAG.

Is wall shear stress also available as a flow-based objective function for a 2D geometry?

This is not currently implemented (although reducing drag should also reduce integrated wall shear stress). You are welcome to make the code changes required for your desired function if you like - this will require implementing the code to evaluate and output your desired function to the history file, and modifications to the python scripts to recognize the new objective. Note that you will need to use the finite difference option to compute gradients for the optimizer as this objective will not be available in the adjoint methods.
