SU2 output forces_breakdown
 

Hi all. I anticipate that I am a very very newbie in cfd.
Comparing two airfoils, I see a lot of total pressure losses in the plot related to blade in which appears a strong normal shock, and much less losses in another showing just a weak oblique shock. This is expected. What seems strange is that the output file "forces_breakdown" returns an higher CD for the blade showing less losses. Since I cannot explain to myself these apparently contraddicting results, I thought that the CD could be not taking into account the shock losses. Is this possible? This would mean that the CD calculation only considers the friction losses.
