Default Fully turbulent continuous adjoint?

Hi, I am using v5.0.0 and I am trying to run a fully turbulent CONTINUOUS adjoint RANS 2D case (RAE2822, Re =6.5 Mill, M = 0.729, aoa = 2.31º) with SA model. I am using JST for the mean flow and adjoint equations and scalar upwind for turbulent flow and adjoint. No multigrid and CFL = 0.5 and I still can't get it to converge.
(1) Should I expect it to converge?
(2) If (1) = yes, can anyone recommend proper numerical settings? i've browsed the test cases and forums but haven't found anything relevant.

Thanks a lot for the help
