Hi,
Are there any Incompressible examples using the Continuous_Adjoint formulation? In the TestCases Repository I found only compressible examples and the case I am trying to run is not working. Regards, Pedro. |

SU2 does not have an incompressible continuous adjoint.

SU2 does have an incompressible continuous adjoint (or at least it used to have one in the past). It is described in
Shape Sensitivity of Free-Surface Interfaces Using a Level Set Methodology. Francisco Palacios, Juan J. Alonso & Antony Jameson. AIAA Paper 2012-3341, 42nd AIAA Fluid Dynamics Conference and Exhibit, New Orleans, LA, June 25-28, 2012. In fact, I even validated it against analytic incompressible adjoint solutions here Lozano, C.; Ponsin, J. Exact Inviscid Drag-Adjoint Solution for Subcritical Flows. AIAA J. 2021, 59, 5369–5373 and here Lozano, C.; Ponsin, J. Explaining the Lack of Mesh Convergence of Inviscid Adjoint Solutions near Solid Walls for Subcritical Flows. Aerospace 2023, 10, 392. https://doi.org/10.3390/aerospace10050392 |
