Forcing Adjoint Eqs. in SU2 code for coupling with laminar flow codes

Hello,

We plan to work with SU2 to attenuate unstable modes in the boundary layer, so the transition to turbulence is delayed. This is done by having the kinetic energy as an objective function.

We work with the BLE (boundary layer equations) and PSE (parabolized stability equations). We also have the adjoint version of these two (APSE and ABLE). This is similar to the figure from the paper:Shape Optimization for Delay of Laminar Turbulent Transition - AIAA 2006 (Amoignion et al.)

We would like to know where to force the ADJ in the SU2 code with something different that comes from the adjoint boundary layer code (ABLE) we have.

I looked at the repository: SU2/SU2_CFD/src/solvers/CAdjEulerSolver.cpp, but I could not find where this is done.

Can someone explain where the ADJ is solved/forced in the code?

(Perhaps this is done/related to the boundary conditions of the ADJ problem in the code).

Thanks,

Pedro.
