What is the difference between OBJECTIVE_FUNCTION and OPT_OBJECTIVE in .cfg file? I read the master .cfg file explanations but I am still not clear.

OBJECTIVE_FUNCTION= DRAG
OPT_OBJECTIVE= DRAG

Hi Mardar572,

I agree the explanations could use some work.
OBJECTIVE_FUNCTION is used in the computations of gradients/sensitivities within the adjoint framework.
OPT_OBJECTIVE (I believe) is only used with shape_optimization.py script.

Best,
Wally
