Is there a timeline for the introduction of the SST turbulence model or is there a way to run the model with limited capabilities?

We are currently debugging the SST model, and expect it to be ready in the next few weeks. It'll be made available as soon as it is thoroughly validated.

Regards,
SU2 dev team

Thank you for your reply, may I also ask if you have any other turbulence models under development?

We are also working on the gamma-Re_theta transition model of Menter. We hope both will be available soon.

Hi Aeljandro,
Thanks for sharing this information, i am really looking forward to gamma_Re-theta turbulence model. Are there any plans in near future to implement Reynolds Stress Model and Detached Eddy Simulations model.

thank you and best regards,

Not in the short term. But due to the open source nature of SU2, if you are quite interested in such features you are more than welcomed to go ahead and implement them yourself. That way, other users who may also want such advanced models will also have them available.
