su2 domain decomposition

I'm running a larger problem now to compare surface heating with some LAURA results. The grid is approximately 3.5 million points (structured).

Upon startup, it takes SU2 over 15 minutes to prep the grid. When I restart using the same decomposition, it still goes through the same process - Is there a way to keep the domains from the decomposition and re-use them when restarting the problem?

Also, I was wondering why the restart file is formatted? It's huge for a grid of 3.5 million points and it'd be nice if it was unformatted.

Hi Tom,

Indeed, you re-use the old grid partitions, and this was the original intent, especially when running design problems with multiple SU2 modules. Use the option "-d False" when calling parallel_computation.py. As a note, you can always see the available options with the python scripts by using the option "--help" at the command line.

Cheers,
Tom
