Mesh with Prism Layers
 

Hi all,

I created a mesh for an airfoil NACA 63415 2-D case with prism layers. But latest SU2 version throws an error that unrecognized mesh. Hence i created the mesh again with tets only and ran it. The simulation is successfully running. What is the reason prism layers are not recognized in this latest version?

How you are generating the mesh ? Which mesh generator you use ?

Hi,

I had problems with converting meshes generated from ICEM CFD to cgns file format which SU2 accepts. I have not used ansys mesher. Hope you are also converting your initial mesh to cgns and then trying to use it in SU2 and in that process having some trouble. If that is the case you can try suggestions in this thread

Initially when my mesh had only tetra it ran without problems like your's but with prisms I had problems. Then I tried the above method in the thread and it worked.
