Can SU2 accurately solve 3d wing at low mach numbers ie less than 0.3 . If so do any group members know what the optimal settings in the .cfg file should be . I noticed in another post that on the naca 2d airfoil the roe solver did not converge but the roe turkel did.

Most of the 3d examples / tutorials are at mach .8 and greater . A tutorial setting out the entire toolchain would be useful. Ie 3d model -> mesh considerations and what effect they have -> solver setting for various use cases -> visualizing the output in para view or tecplot.

Hi,

In principle, SU2 should work properly at Mach number of the order of 0.3, if you go below 0.01 my recommendation is to use the incompressible solver (REGIME_TYPE=INCOMPRESSIBLE).

Thanks for using SU2,
Francisco
