Hello,

could someone roughly explain the meaning of the parameters in the "SLOPE LIMITER DEFINITION" and how they are used? There are five parameters in the .cfg file:
- Reference element length for computing the slope and sharp edges limiters
- Coefficient for the limiter
- Coefficient for the sharp edges limiter
- Reference coefficient (sensitivity) for detecting sharp edges
- Remove sharp edges from the sensitivity evaluation

Thank you very much in advance!!

kind regards

Hi,

- Coefficient for the sharp edges limiter
- Reference coefficient (sensitivity) for detecting sharp edges
- Remove sharp edges from the sensitivity evaluation

parameters are associated with the adjoint solver, so if you are interested in the normal direct solver... do not worry about those.

On the other hand,
- Reference element length for computing the slope and sharp edges limiters
- Coefficient for the limiter

are the parameters that you should define in a typical implementation of the VENKATAKRISHNAN limiter... "Convergence to Steady State Solutions of the Euler Equations on Unstructured Grids with Limiters", Journal of Computational Physics

Best Regards,
Francisco
