Hi,

I would like to know how the conservative variables in SU2 have been reconstructed for compressible flow. There are reconstructions for both primitive and secondary variables.

1) Is secondary variable means conservative variable(rho, rho*u,rho*v,rho*E)?

2) How the conservative variables are reconstructed? Are they reconstructed directly or first primitive variables are reconstructed and reconstructed primitive variables multiplied to get the conservative variables?

Thanks.!!!

Hi Vino,

SU2 reconstructs only the primitive and the secondary variables (not the conservative variables).

primitive variables are (T,vx,vy,vz,P,rho,h), secondary variables are thermo-physical properties (partial derivatives) that we only use dealing with real gas.

Cheers,
Francisco
