Segmentation fault: 11

I am a newcomer to SU2. I am getting frustrated because I routinely get a "Segmentation fault: 11" error. I have attached an example of a very simple wing with standard NACA airfoils and modest amount of twist. The program seems to reach a solution to the aero problem, but fails after that. It creates the surface_flow.csv file, then fails before it can create the force breakdown file and the PARAVIEW plot files. The end result is a "Segmentation fault: 11". Seems like it fails when trying to merge the aero solution with the geometry.
My work-around to this so far has to make very slight arbitrary tweaks to the mesh density, but with no change to the physical problem. Through trial and error, I can get it to run all the way through to a normal conclusion. Seems like no matter what, if it can reach a solution to the aero problem, it should be able to create all the output files. I am running the pre-compiled version 4.0.2, downloaded directly from git-hub, on Apple OS X 10.11.2, with Python version 2.7.10. Attached is copy of the standard output produced in file stdoutput.txt and my configFile, with extension changed to .txt The example included was only run for a view iterations and with a coarse mesh, just to keep the file size small. More iterations and finer mesh don't solve the problem. |
