I have a mesh of a 2D airfoil. I want to get the gradient of lift with respect to the airfoil coordinates. I thought the best design variable would be DISPLACEMENT. So in the DEFINITION_DV, I put (5, 1.0 | airfoil | x_coord, y_coord, 0.0). However I get the error
Code:
DV_KIND: invalid option value DISPLACEMENT. Check current SU2 options in config_template.cfg. |

Hi Ryan,
this information is independent of the actual design variables and is provided by the continuous or discrete adjoint solver. After running the solver you will find a file named surface_adjoint.dat in the directory. |
