Hello everyone,

I am learning to use SU2 for my CFD research. Currently, I have a set of the Unsteady Turbulence Cylinder flow from direct method.

However when I edit the .cfg file to restart the adjoint simulation. Then the error message comes up: "Requesting a negative iteration number for the restart file!!"

Based on the previous post with the same issue, if I want to restart simulation from the very beginning even I have done 5000 timesteps simulation from the direct method. I shall set UNST_RESTART_ITER=2, then SU2 will read solution_flow_00000.dat and solution_flow_00001.dat and restart the simulation by continuous adjoint method. But somehow it doesn't work.

Then I go back to run Quickstart case to see if there is anything related the software configuration or setting, when I start to run adjoint, the error message shows up again:" There is no adjoint restart file!! solution_adj_cd.dat."

It looks like maybe my SU2 cannot read the solution file correctly to restart the adjoint simulation. But it's just a guess.

It will be very appreciated if anyone can help. The .cfg file for my cylinder flow simulation is attached.
