Hi
When we do unsteady optimization, SU2 take the time averaged sensitivities to compute gradient of objective function. Can anyone tell me the exact location of this time averaging procedure in the code?? Since in any situation I want to do an unsteady optimization my DRAG gradient: -nana Which I believe is related to this averaging |

Hi Tom,
this problem should be solved in the current develop branch (see this pull request for more information: https://github.com/su2code/SU2/pull/360) |

Hi tim
I changed the code in geometry_structure.cpp as you mentioned in SU2-4.3.0 and everything’s works well but when I compile the develop branch to see how it works the result was a bit confusing I run the following command with both codes Shape_optimization.py -f turb_NACA64A010.cfg And here is the log adjoint file for the first design DSN_001 (I manage it to have just 4 time step) As you see in develp branch the ExtItr is always 0 so it just call the firs direct time step??? |
