Hi guys, we're 4th year students and this is our first time using SU2.
We were trying to complete the ONERA tutorial, using the mesh and config file provided but have run into a regarding the marker names.

It seems that the config file provided didn't contain the correct markers, when we got the error:

The configuration file doesn't have any definition for marker LOWER_SIDE!!

We tried adding the markers to the boundary condition definitions:

MARKER_EULER= ( LOWER_SIDE, UPPER_SIDE, TIP )
MARKER_FAR= ( XNORMAL_FACES, ZNORMAL_FACES, YNORMAL_FACE)
MARKER_SYM= ( SYMMETRY_FACE )

This stopped the MISSING error report, but now the Log file is stating that the job has completed on MG level: 0, when it is supposed to have 3 stages according to the tutorial? In addition, no files were output (history, dat files etc) upon this apparent completion.

Does this mean that the markers are still wrong, or is there something wrong with the MG steps?

Robert

Thanks for your question

There are two ONERA meshes provided, one with higher fidelity, and they have different markers defined - it looks like you are using a config file associated with one of the meshes and using it with the other. You may have either gotten the wrong config file or the wrong mesh file.
Please also see: Problem with running tutorial "Constrained Optimal Shape Design of a Fixed Wing"
And note that the code was recently updated - the tutorial should match up with the most recent release.

I am a little bit confused by your description of the output at the end - if you continue to have problems, please cut and paste the last lines of output that you are referring to, that will hopefully make the problem a little clearer.
