Hello everyone,
I am evaluating the gradients of draft coefficient with respect to FFD design variables through continuous adjoint Navier-Stokes equations. But I found that the results from continuous adjoint don't agree with the results from finite diferences. I am sure my flow solver has fully converged.
Here are my complete configuration file, convergence history of RANS flow solver and adjoint solver, and the comparison between adjoint and finite differences (Yet I have calculated the gradients with respect to only four design variables by finite differences). The step for both cases is 0.001.
Could anyone give me some suggestion about that? Thank you sincerely!
