SU2 for nozzle simulations

Hello everyone,

For a recent project, we would like to investigate the capacity of SU2 for compressible flow inside and outside nozzles. The nozzles would be classical 2D axi-symmetric.

I know SU2 is a very potent tool for external flows around bodies, and from what i have seen by playing around with it, it has amazing components that would be very useful for the kind of projects we are interested in (notably local timestep, multigrid solver, etc.).
However, I have not seen any examples in the tutorials online that included internal flow.

Do any of you see an obstacle to doing nozzle simulations using SU2? Ideally I would like to start solving only Euler equation with a standard test case like the CDV nozzle form NASA :
https://www.grc.nasa.gov/www/wind/valid/cdv/cdv.html

Then i'd like to move to NS or RANS-NS eventually.

Thank you!
Cheers

su2 nozzle simulation

Hi Bruno

I am investigating a classical 2-D axi-simmetric laval nozzle (EULER). I am trying to apply the continuos adjoint method but I have not been sucessful. Did you try implement the adjoint solution?
Do you want discuss about this problem ( compressible nozzle ) ?

Regards

Obs: can someone help me with the adjoint solution in laval nozzle ( euler)?
