Hi, sorry nobody replied to your post sooner.
You can specify your own inlet profiles (as discrete data) by using the following keywords below. When you do not have an inlet_profile.dat file, a file will be generated for you that you can then edit. % Read inlet profile from a file (YES, NO) default: NO SPECIFIED_INLET_PROFILE= YES INLET_MATCHING_TOLERANCE= 1e-6 % % File specifying inlet profile INLET_FILENAME= inlet_profile.dat |

And is this similar way to give profile to boundary conditions. |

Hey,
There is a tutorial testcase available (from Thomas Economon) on the SU2 homepage which covers inlet profile definition via input file: https://su2code.github.io/tutorials/Inc_Laminar_Step/ It might be a good starting point. If you want to apply specified profiles on other boundary condition types (e.g. Heatflux) I am afraid to say that this not possible out of the box. With a little bit of code modification you can add the features yourself. The same applies for inlet profiles in terms of an equation. But there it might be faster to just write a little python program which reads the inlet profile file and computes the inlet values based on the given coordinates Hope that helps, Tobi |

Thank you very much Tkatt gör your response. Tutorial seems very useful for me. However, when i tried with SU2_CFD.exe in Windows, i have an error message like that "There is no this input type Spesific inlet type" . Did you try it in Windows?

Hi,
I only work on Linux machines. I just ran the tutorial case with the latest master version and it works just fine for me. Please be more specific about your problem. In this case you should at least add the screen output of SU2 for the case you ran. By doing so everyone can see the exact error message (because I believe the one you gave has spelling mistakes) and you are more likely to get (quick) help. Cheers, Tobi |
