Problem with the example "Constrained shape design of a transonic turbulent airfoil"

Hi,

Thanks for interested of my post.

I'm trying to run the shape optimization example "Constrained shape design of a transonic turbulent airfoil" with the command: python shape_optimization.py -g DISCRETE_ADJOINT -o SLSQP -f turb_SA_RAE2822.cfg.

However, the program got stuck after the initial guess. Here is a screen shot of the process and and an error message if I terminate the program.

Can anyone help me to figure out what is the problem and how to fix it?

Hi,

The only thing the error message says is that you interrupted the program with ctrl+c.
Are you sure SU2 was not running in the background?
You can cd to folder DESIGNS/DSN_001/DIRECT and have a look at the log files see if the code is running.
