I have to do a 2D unsteady RANS simulation of a NACA0012 profile with variable pitching angle over time. My problem is, that my inputsignal of the pitching angle is time variable and not continous and i havo no clue how to implement it in the SU2 code. Is it possible at all to realize a timevariable inputsignal of the motion of the airfoilstructure?

Hey Neumy,

By time variable, do you mean that the change in pitch angle changes with time? If the change of angle is constant with time, the required options are given in the config_template file.

Thank you for your answer.



I meant that the change in pitch angle is not constant with time. It shall be a specific signal, witch is created by myself. According to SU2 it is not possible to implement a time variable input signal in the config file.



But I've managed it by customizing the python code of the py_wrapper test case flatPlate_rigidMotion. There it is possible to implement the input signal of the wing movement.
