When I tried to run the inviscid supersonic wedge tutorial , I got the following error.
"mesh_wedge_inv.cgns is not in CGNS format. " What am I doing wrong ? or is it possible that the mesh is corrupted Regards and thanks in advance Narahari |

Hi Narahari,
Thanks for using SU2! That is an interesting problem. My guess is something happened during the compilation process, or the option in the config is actually set to .su2. My suggestion would be to check the config or got to https://github.com/su2code/TestCases...er/euler/wedge to download the .su2 mesh. (Sorry I am no good at the compiling stuff). Please let me know if this helps, Wally |

Dear Wally,
Sorry, took a while to get around to testing it. As suggested I downloaded the mesh file but could not run as the code stops with a message like "SU2 has to stop " Regards Narahari |

Hi Narahari,
That's interesting that even the .su2 mesh failed. I don't seem to get a similar issue when running the test case. Could you post the exact error? Thanks, Wally |

I took a look at your config...it looks fine. I have a suspicion that this is windows specific issue. I was able to run both the su2 and cgns meshes without a hitch on a linux machine.
Another suggestion would be to eliminate all options not concerning the direct solution. |

In another post of mine there was suggestion to remove Multigrid and use FGNRES, I tried it on and it worked for the Inviscid Wedge tutorial. Still exploring and wil update if I do figure out how and why this worked.
Thanks to all members who have taken the trouble to think over my issue. Narahari |
