Hi,

I am trying to simulate vortex-induced vibrations using SU2. To start with, I am using the Tutorial-Laminar cylinder mesh and a slightly altered Reynolds number of 60 (instead of the original 40). The solution has a large CD and I think this is the reason why the linear solver is diverging after the aeroelastic deformation is applied. Can any SU2 developer or any SU2 user confirm if indeed this is the case? Also, is there any way of using the SU2 inbuilt aeroelastic analysis for performing dynamic aeroelastic simulation on any section other than an airfoil?

Please note that I have run the unsteady simulation without applying deformation for 200 time steps to get rid of the high transient CD. The aeroelastic analysis is applied on subsequent time steps starting from 201.

The following are attached:
- The cfg file lam_cylinder_initial.cfg to run the first 200 time steps without aeroelasticity
- The cfg file lam_cylinder.cfg to be restarted with the solution obtained from lam_cylinder_initial.cfg
- The screen output of lam_cylinder.cfg printed in out.dat

The mesh file can be obtained from: https://su2code.github.io/tutorials/Laminar_Cylinder/

Any help, suggestion, information will be highly appreciated.

Thanks and regards.
