Does anyone has any insights on how cgns mesh can be converted to native su2 format in SU2. It says in documentation that a converter is available but I couldn't find any code or cfg regarding it.

By the time I found a workaround. As I came across threads showing high memory usage with CGNS mesh files, it was discussed that using SU2 format mesh files had lower memory per procs.

I used utility SU2_MSH from v6.0.1 to convert my CGNS mesh to SU2 as all other trials with meshio failed. I dont know for some reason SU2_MSH was deprecated in newer versions. The SU2 formatted mesh files are compatible with current version of solver v7.5.0 .

Another question: Is SU2_CFD supposed to convert mesh file to mentioned formats in cfg file under keyword MESH_OUT_FILENAME? Because it doesnt even after the simulation is terminated smoothly.

This keyword is used by SU2_DEF as explained in the tutorial. It is also possible to have SU2_CFD output an su2 file using
