Hello to everyone,
I have a question about the scrren output in the latest version of SU2.
Is it possible to have a Residual Evolution Summary as the same (or a similar one) present in the SU2 V6?

I have seen that one of the options of the SCREEN_OUTPUT is the MAX_DENSITY, but I also need the ID cell or the cell coordinates corresponding to this maximum residual value.
Is it possible to print this information in the screen output?

Thanks in advance for your reply.
Best,
Ettore Saetta

You can run command -

SU2_CFD -d filename.cfg

This will tell you possible/available screen/history output fields and volume output fields for your .cfg file settings.
You can print fields, you use to get in V6. For example force/ moment coefficients, CFL, wall time, no of Nonphysical points etc.

I am not sure about the locations or cell ID for max residual, it is not obvious from above options.

Hello Ettore,

It seems in the new output there is no way to display that information. It is still computed in the solvers but there is no function to print it.

Regards,
Pedro

Thank you for your reply,
I have already tried with this command, but I didn't find any option to print the cell ID for max residual.

Hello Pedro,
thanks for your reply.

Maybe a possibility is to implement a function that print this information.

Ettore
