Hi,
I'm trying to simulate a 3d flow over flat plate in Su2 and used Gmsh for meshing. I created the geometry as mentioned in the SU2 website for transitional Flat plate and used 3d meshing instead of 2D. But, I get this NPOIN mismatch error. I first created a 2d surface and then extruded the surface, while extruding I get an extra surface in the middle. I have also created physical entities in Gmsh appropriately, but still getting this error. At least someone pls tell me what are the proper steps for doing structured meshing for 3d. When using structured meshing, we have to create a line to use transfinite divisions for boundary layer mesh, so this line when extruded results in a surface for the entire flow domain.
I request the concerned persons to kindly help me at the earliest.

Hi, Aakhash,

When you export the mesh, do not choose "Save All Elements". Then, only physical groups will be saved. You have to make sure then that your volume is a physical group or else nothing will be saved.
