LES post processing in SU2 - statistically steady state

I have an LES simulation running that I restarted from well converged RANS results. I have run for five flowthroughs as per rule of thumb and am now trying to determine if I have reached or am at least approaching a statistically steady state.

I have one area of the flow which is of key interest where I would like to monitor the momentum at several points, and use this output to determine if I'm approaching a statistically steady state.

At the minute I have been just ouputting tecplot flow files and processing these in tecplot, but these requires a lot of storage for a few small calculations (each file is ~10gb and I would like to look at 100s of time steps). If I could just output some variables at a few points to the history file this would be much more convenient. The area I'm interested in is far from any walls so properties calculated at surfaces aren't really useful

Using CUSTOM_OUTPUTS seems like it could work but I can't work out from the template example (https://github.com/su2code/SU2/blob/..._flatplate.cfg) how to just output momentum (or another property) at some specified points to the history file from this.

If anyone can help me with this, or suggest a better approach it would be greatly appreciated

Also, would it be better to use an integral property for this analysis?

A similar question on monitoring points was raised a short while ago, this is my solution:
