Preblem in self-excitation oscillation in SU2

Hi, I'm trying to creat a self-excitation oscillation in inlet by increasing the background pressure. But at the same pressure and mesh, I can get the oscillation structure in Fluent, while SU2 didn't. It's more closely to the results of the steady-state calculation.
How can I get the self-excitation oscillation in SU2? Any help is nessnary for me!

Hi,

Is your setup similar to the one in the tutorial:
https://su2code.github.io/tutorials/Unsteady_NACA0012/

or do you mean solid structure excitation like this one:
https://su2code.github.io/tutorials/Dynamic_FSI_Python/

In any case it is usually not possible to copy the settings from Fluent to SU2 or other codes and expect the results to be the same because there are many differences in the underlying code. It might be that you simply have to use smaller timesteps or a finer mesh, or something completely different to make it work as expected.

Hi, my set up is similar to the unsteady naca0012. On earlier today, I try the tutorial with the restart file, .cfg and mesh which provided on the website. I used the results in the history.dat to draw the lift and drag curve. But there is no cyclical change like in the tutorial about CD and CL in history.dat,They first declined and then leveled off. I really don't know what the problem is.

facing issue in capturing pressure oscillations in su2

Hi everyone,
I am simulating a case in SU2 for supersonic flow over an open cavity with L/D as 1.33. The problem I am facing is, I am unable to capture the oscillations at the lip of the cavity. What can be seen for this?
