How to create .su2 file? Is it all created manually with text edit?
Additionally, how to create .cgns file? It seems not a text file. |

You can create a mesh yourself with python if it is a simple mesh, or you could use meshing software. gmsh is free to use, and good to start with. It can also save meshes directly in su2 format.

As far as I know, gmsh itself cannot directly generate CGNS files. How about Pointwise and Gridgen?
