Hello all,
I'm currently working with a 3D CGNS mesh that I've downloaded from the following page: https://turbmodels.larc.nasa.gov/nac...ics_grids.html To simulate this geometry in SU2, I'm first converting the mesh to SU2 format using the SU2_DEF command (with the boundary conditions set appropriately). This results in a 3D single-cell-wide SU2 mesh. I can perform simulations using this 3D mesh, however, performance is poor. As suggested in the user guide, I'm attempting to convert the mesh to 2D, so that I can run a truly 2D simulation. Can anyone suggest how I might convert this mesh from 3D to 2D? Thus far, I've opened the original 3D mesh in paraview, then saved a 2D slice of the mesh. This gives me a 2D CGNS mesh, however I lose the boundary marker information, so I unfortunately can't use the mesh. Any help is greatly appreciated. Viv |

I ended up writing my own converter.
Can share once it's more mature. |
