Hello forum,
I would like to activate convergence criterion for all the list of RMSs below, for a certain convergence level: here -7. % ----------------------- % Convergence parameters % ----------------------- CONV_RESIDUAL_MINVAL= -7 CONV_FIELD= RMS_PRESSURE, RMS_VELOCITY-X, RMS_VELOCITY-Y, RMS_VELOCITY-Z, RMS_ENERGY, RMS_TKE, RMS_DISSIPATION INNER_ITER= 1500 CONV_STARTITER= 10 [...] After N<1500 iterations SU2 exists, and tells me: +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Convergence Field | Value | Criterion | Converged | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | rms[P]| -7.45293| < -7| Yes| | rms[U]| -7.4718| < -7| Yes| | rms[V]| -7.96358| < -7| Yes| | rms[W]| -8.04231| < -7| Yes| | rms[k]| -9.53798| < -7| Yes| | rms[w]| -6.66409| < -7| No| +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ Indeed, as shown in picture, the rms[w] is not satisfied. The solver will stop when INNER_ITER has been reached, regardless of the convergence criteria. If you set it INNER_ITER=3000, it will probably stop before, due to the convergence criteria.

That's Indeed the question. I put N=1500, and RMS limit -10. Solver did not reach N, but stops, with all the RMS residuals at <-10, apart fron RMS of dissipation, which Is only close tò -10, but greater. I'll check Thanks you Giovanni |
