hello everyone,
When I run SU2-NEMO related cases, a warning line will appear on the screen, similar to "Warning. The initial solution contains 100 points that are not physical", and as the number of iterations increases, the non physical points will gradually increase. May I ask what caused this issue and how to handle it? Thank you. |

The solver might be slowly slowly diverging. Sometimes, the nr of unphysical points stabilizes and reduces again until the problem disappears altogether. You might be able to prevent it by using:
- better initial conditions - different numerical settings, especially lower CFL or timestep values, or switching to a more diffusive numerical scheme You can visualize the problem in paraview, see where it occurs and maybe you can think about a solution. Sometimes you see that it is a small region in the flow that is slowly being transported with the flow towards the outlet, then the problem will solve itself. This is what we observe often in the incompressible combustion model (flamelet model). |
