Hi

I am a recent beginner in SU2_CFD and managed to simulate non ideal compressible flows in cd nozzle. Is there any option of simulating electromagnetics/MHD flows in SU2? I wanna simulate argon plasma in a simple axisymmetric geometry. It will be a navier-stokes coupled with maxwell equations assuming thermal non equilibrium. Can somebody please guide me on this? Any suggestions on relevant cfg file?

Hi,
We currently do not have this anymore, it was written 10 years ago and was moved out of the main branch . The closest that we have is non-equilibrium thermodynamics for hypersonic flows (NEMO):

Thank you so much. I've been investigating SU2 and its very efficient. By any chance, can it solve poisson solver for electrostatics? I see the option in the input files..

We do not have any Poisson equation for electrostatics currently, but you could add a source term to the heat solver.

Hi

Thank you so much. Now that I am familiar with few SU2 solvers, I wanna simulate following:

a) Simulate argon ion transport with stationary neutral argon atoms in the background? Is it possible to simulate this in SU2? Could you please give me some guidance on this? The geometry will be simple rectangular duct/step
