Hello,
I am trying RANS around a 3D sphere at RE=100000. The case is diverging. I tried lowering the CFL from 30 to 10 and increasing the linsol error from 1E-2 to 1E-4 but the case diverges.

The mesh is a structured mesh created in Pointwise. The mesh quality parameters are as follows:

1. Cell Non-Orthogonality < 30 deg
2. Jacobian > 0
3. Minimum Included Angle > 59 deg and <90 deg

I have attached the case files: https://github.com/airwarriorg91/SU2.../master/sphere

The log files are also attached. Can someone help me with this ?

Thanks
Gaurav

I have found with Roe with MUSCL reconstruction is that in cases like this where it diverges soon after solver start is to run the simulation without the reconstruction until you achieve some level of convergence and then restart with the MUSCL reconstruction enabled normally resolves the issue. This might help for the case you have described.

Hi !
I am using L2ROE with MUSCL resconstruction in convective and scalar upwind with MUSCL in turbulent scheme. I tried turning off the MUSCL reconstruction but the cases still diverges. Do you know why this might be happening ?
