Hey guys,

I'm relatively new to CFD, doing a project about Pulse Energy Deposition for drag reduction on a blunt body. I have learnt the basics, like what kinds of solvers to choose, what numerical schemes, how to mesh etc. I have also successfully ran simple flow simulations. However, I am stuck on the next step, and I am unsure how to simulate the Pulse Energy Deposition part. From reading online, I gathered it has something to do with modifying the source code but I am really lost

Any help on this is really appreciated! Thanks!

Do you have a reference for what you would like to do? I am not familiar with Pulse Energy Deposition. Do you have a link to a paper that has modeled PED?

Hey, thanks for replying. Here is a diagram of what I'm trying to simulate, albeit I'm doing it in 2d, if that helps.
