axial velocity in tecplot
I am trying to see axial velocity contour in different sections in 3d pipe which has curves that they are not in a same plane but Tecplot and Paraview just give me u ,v and w and I make the geometry in solid work .I would be appreciate if some one can give me the instruction.

I may not understand the complexity of your application, but one suggestion is to slice through the pipe at the axis (in the x, y, z direction) and then create a contour on the velocity. I would think vectors of velocity would also give insight into the flow.

I cant find the solution so I am giving you more details.

as you see there are two curves which they are not in the same plane and also the second curve is not in x ,y ,z direction so I don't know how to make cross sections that is perpendicular to the main axis and also plotting axial velocity contours which is not in tecplot velocity tabs.

Arbitrary slicing in Tecplot 360 & Tecplot 360 EX
One can take an arbitrary slice in Tecplot 360 via the menu Data>>Extract>>Slice From Plane then click on Arbitrary and orient as required. I believe that determining the actual axial velocity contour would require knowledge of the geometry of the curve, and then creating new axial flow velocity variables from the u,v,w using trigonometry. The calculation of the axial velocity can be done via “Data>>Alter>>Specify Equations”. However, it is beyond my ability to show you the equations for this work.

In the new Tecplot 360 EX (to be released in April 2014) one can take an arbitrary slice as shown in the video titled “Slicing is Cool.” at this link:
