I went through the example in the previous thread
Here are the simple steps 1. Create a new layout. 2. Data->Create zone-> Rectangular zone Set the dimensions to 100, 100, 100 Set XMin, XMax to -1, 1 Set YMin, YMax to -1, 1 Set ZMin, ZMax to -1,1 3. Data-> Alter -> Specify Equations use this equation: {Sphere} = x*x + y*y + z*z 4. Create an isosurface of Sphere 5. Data-> Extract -> Isosurface You now have a Sphere in Tecplot. Let me know how it goes |

Loading data with less variables in to a data set with more

OK we made progress, but we are not quite there yet. If you have a data set with variables like this
x,y,z,Sphere and you load the data with variables x,y,z,u,v,w,Rho,P,T,Cp Tecplot needs to map the variables that you have to the ones you are loading. If you use data alter to create variables to match in the sphere then it will load correctly otherwise load the sphere second and it will load and append the variables. It depends what version of Tecplot you are using. Some of the trouble might be the version you are using does not support the variable mapping. What version of Tecplot are you using? |

Thank you very much for your help! I use the tecplot 360 2013R1.Wen I draw the sphere first ,I load the "0.data".the tecplot prompts “1.jpg2.jpg". If I load the "0.data"first ,and then load the shpere, the tecplot prompts “3.jpg" I don't know that is why ,Could you help resolve it ? I write a letter to you .The "0.data" and the sphere is in the letter. |
