Numeca Fine/Marine post-processing analysis to Tecplot

Hi all,

I am wandering if there's a chance to use Tecplot as a post-processor instead of CFView. My professor told me there is a way, but he can't remember exactly where he heard about it.

Thank you!

Export to CGNS

Hi inarus,

I think there is an option to export to CGNS that can be loaded in Tecplot 360. Give it a try and let me know if you find it. There are some limitations with the CGNS loader that we need to add to pickup some of the meta-data in the CGNS files export. Please let me know if it works for you and what is missing.

There is a way indeed. I didn't looked close enough.
I selected all the surfaces in CFView then Geometry menu, export CGNS.
Although it won't export the whole computational domain block for slicing in Tecplot it is very helpful indeed.

Thank you very much Mr. Durrell

There is a tool called isis2tec, or isis2tec360, that allows you to convert surface and/or volume data to tecplot format (.dat or .plt).
You can specify which fields (pressure, velocity...) you want to convert.

I am not quite in front of a computer right now. Is this tool for buying, or is packed inside Fine/Marine?

Many thanks!

Hello,

I'm having trouble with isis2tec360. Although the user manual e explain some basics, I couldn't translate any results from Fine/Marine to Tecplot.
I'm quite sure it's little tricky.

Any thoughts?
Thank you!

Maybe you are in wrong directory. I have got the output files for surface and volume. Which OS are u using now?
