I am working in flow and heat transfer study in a plane channel. Anyone help me how to plot mean temperature (Mean/average of temperatures along Y direction/constant x lines) and x in tecplot. To get a sense of this process I would recommend watching the Tecplot tutorial video titled:“External Flow – Comparing a CFD Simulation with Experimental Data” at this link: http://www.tecplot.com/blog/category/video/?product=360 as the creation of the Cp plot is similar in concept to what I think you want to accomplish. Thanks a lot for the information
In that video they are plotting variable along a slice. But in my case I want to find the average value of the variable (say Temperature) with x direction.
For example consider a plane channel, here we have 273 grid divisions are in X direction and 27 grid divisions are there in Y direction. I want to plot a average value of variable (say Temperature) with X axis. Here each point in the graph will be the average value of the variable at 27 nodes. Hence I need to find the average value of variable at 273 constant x planes and plot which is a difficult task if we do manually.

Thanks for any suggestions.

hi,I have almost same problem. I am also trying to plot average value of cp around 3d object. I can plot Cp. but for average it is showing a straight line. But I want to plot mean at every point of bluff body. I have selected a slice. but can not get right result. how you have overcome this problem.nplease share with me. I will be thankful!

If you have unsteady simulation results, you can do this through time, to get a plot with Time on the X-axis and Average on the Y-Axis.
