Hello,

I'm using tecplot with data from Converge. These data files are converted by converge in.plt.

However, as it's big data file, I would like convert is in szl to improve tecplot performance, but when I'm using the "Write data" to or a script to do that, I always have the same issue : "cannot export dataset : zone 1 is unsupported type"

I tried to delete this zone, but it's the same issue with all zone.

Could you help me ?

Thanks in advance

Hi Tmi,

CONVERGE uses Automatic Mesh Refinment and hence writes the data as Polyhedra.

Polyhedra is not currently supported by the szplt format.

There are a couple of options and best practices that can help you improve performance for your post-processing of CONVERGE data.

Feel free to write to support@tecplot.com (or support-eu@tecplot.com if you are located in Europe), we'd be glad to help.

Best regards,

Antoine
